My first attempt at spinning. It's actually very therapeutic and I want to do more. Unfortunately, there's only so many hours in the day and I have so many other projects on the go at the same time.

Oh, that is very nice. I had my first go last night and it isn't nearly as good as yours....I think I need LOTS more practice at this, and maybe an expert to sit with me and show me what to do!
Thanks for the comments guys. I got the kit from a lady on Ebay who trades as forestfibres. It came really quickly and had a great "how to spin" guide and also a copy of The Wheel magazine which had lots of spinning articles to read. I also looked on youtube and found a very helpful video clip. It certainly helped to make sense of all the stuff I'd read!
What the picture doesn't show you is just how patchy and uneven my yarn is. It wasn't as hard to spin as I was expecting but it's not easy to get it even. I need to have lots more practice yet before it'll be able to be knitted up!
